Dark clouds hovering as Twitter may soon cut 300 more jobs
Things are not smooth for Twitter at the moment in all truth. From struggling to find a new buyer, Twitter is making desperate efforts in steadying itself among the harsh waves of stalling growth. And when companies struggle, they most times feel the better way to paddle themselves through the economic cataracts is making their boat much lighter- less cargoes. And most times, much of the cargoes thrown aboard are human cargoes: workers!
And from what we are being told by Bloomberg, the retrenchment axe is hovering around Twitter. Officially, the possibility is really high that the struggling social media platform may soon execute fresh rounds of job cuts. Looking precisely at the figures, this report points to a possible retrenchment of about 300 employees. This approximately amounts to 8% of full work force of the company.
The job cut may be as soon as this new week. The timing seem more accurate considering Twitter will publish its Q3 earnings report. But we can’t really be sure of this job cut.
If you really remember some time ago, Twitter had slashed about 300 jobs back in 2015 in a bid to cut operational costs. Despite the heavy reports we were hearing that Twitter was desperately looking for a buyer.
Yet we hope this talks of new job cuts turns out untrue as these people to be laid off are family members; some even sole breadwinners.

Some of the dieties we worship have roots in the holy books- Ooni of Ife says, frowns at misrepresentation of African religion
Speaking at the 2016 celebration of Oranfe the god of fire in Ile Ife, Osun state yesterday Oct. 26th, the Ooni said that some of the dieties being worshiped in Africa have their roots in holy books like the Bible and Quran.
"Our
people really need to be enlightened. A lot of these festivals have
been misconstrued, misrepresented and demonized as if we are idol
worshippers. We are not idol worshippers. We are rather believers in
nature. I am not saying the
commandments of God should not be adhered to, but we must know that all
these dieties are messengers of God. They represent nature. Nothing can
be done without nature regardless of our religion be it Islam or
Christianity or even traditional. We
only honour nature because we are all integra part of it, and not
worship idols. Some of the dieties we worship have roots in the holy
books. We are also following the instructions of God needed for the
sustenance of mankind as everybody, including powerful leaders rely on
nature to survive." Ooni Ogunwusi said
He
faulted the influence of westernization on the cultural belief of
Africans, adding that it is a major factor responsible for the
increasing poverty facing the immeasurably blessed continent.
"Those
who keep sensitising people against us that we are worshipping idols
are not kind to history. I am proud to be associated with nature. Ife
has 201 out the 401 dieties and they are all relevant. These
deities are divine messengers of God sent for different purposes.
One
of them is ORANFE the god of fire being celebrated here today. It is a
pity that all powers in the possession of blackmen are being used for
battles and power tussles. It is from this unique powers that the west

Well, Samsung has suffered such an unscripted tragedy. Despite the great fanfare that surrounded the unveiling of the Samsung Note 7, the case of explosive batteries made it such a big tech joke of the year. Samsung had tried to savage the Note 7 with a recall program but the problem remained forcing Samsung to officially stop the production of the Note 7.
At first we thought the Note 7 disaster would only hurt the reputation and consumer trust of Samsung but now we are discovering that the Note 7 has actually taken a bigger bite on Samsung’s purse. Samsung has formally chopped down its third-quarter profit estimate by a third fraction. So far from our experience,me have come to discover that these ratings are not always very correct. An example was the iPhone 7, officially the iPhone 7 is rated to last 30 minutes under water; but then it went on to last sixty minutes under water. Who knows, you could you can push your luck quite a distance with smartphones only that caution is emphatic.
The Pixel here have which doesn’t have such rating at least even lasted a full hour submerged in a bowl of water. From November 30th. HTC Android web browser will be no more

I’m so rooting for Uber since I can’t buy rice and a good car at the same time.
Some time at the beginning of this year, Google had put forward a ride hailing tab in Google Maps. With that service, you could quickly make comparisons as to which is faster between driving, public transport, or getting an Uber is faster. The biggest development on this now is that Google is transferring this functionality to a more conspicuous and easily noticeable position – it will now be straight on our search results.
