'Our struggle is not for political thugs' - Niger Delta Avengers
In a statement released by the Militant Group on their
website, Niger Delta Avengers through their spokesperson Brig. Gen
Mudoch Agbinibo stated that the Niger Delta Struggle is not for
Political Thugs. The Statement reads,
Amaechi: Shaming of a MEnister by the People's Minister - Reno Omokri

By now, you probably have watched the viral video of the town hall meeting organized by the ministry of masquerade dressing (otherwise known as ministry of information) in Uyo the Akwa Ibom state capital. At that event, the mild mannered minister of state for petroleum resources, Ibe Kachikwu, proved that you should not judge a book by its cover as he publicly took on the minister of transport, Rotimi Amaechi and gave him an answer that could not be responded to.

NEW MUSIC: G.O.D BY OMOJESU.
Gospel music in Africa especially Nigeria has come a long way. It is a motivational Christian melody that has seemingly become a major part of Nigerian music.
In the 1960s, the Evangelical Church of West Africa Choir was popular, and in the early 1970s Bola Aare, Sola Rotimi, Good women Choir, Ebenezer Obey and later, Panam Percy Paul, Onyeka Onwenu, Lanre Teriba (Atorise), Tope Alabi, Keffi, and Sammie Okposo were notable. In recent times, quite a number of gospel artistes have released albums that are quite commendable. They included the likes of Ty Bello, Foluke Umosen, Soji Israel, Segun Obe, F-Wonder, Samsong, Lara George among others. Funky artistes like Rooftop MCs,
The Bossman and BOUQUI are also very well known for their gospel hip hop styles.
They have released singles and albums that have won several awards. However with the new blend of beats hitting the waves, there is no way one can equally fail to notice the talent of another budding starlet - ‘Omo Jesu.’ Born Mark Ikechukwu into the clan of Isialangwa North Local Government Area in present day Abia state, he had all his education in Lagos - primary education at Hope School, Ajibulu, Oshodi and secondary tutelage at Ewututu Grammar School, Mafoluku, Oshodi.
In 2004 shortly after his secondary school, his mother invited him over to Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital where he got an appointment to work with Jubaili Bros Engineering. He still wasn’t satisfied because of his undying passion for me. When his mother realised he wouldn’t give up on his to further his musical career.
He played all sorts of gospel vibes ranging Afro gospel, contemporary gospel, Afro praise and worship with the aid of his talking drums. He has also played for various choirs in the past such as Fragrance of the Lord Mass Choir (FLMC), Lagos; Surewood International Church, Port Harcourt and Apostolic Christian Mission, Port Harcourt where the mum is a prophetess.
When interviewed by City Pulse on how the whole musical idea started, Omo Jesu giggled and stated that he nursed the dream throughout his child hood. “My parents never liked the idea of me going into music which started way back. Even in school, I did go about with my friends singing ‘gyration’ at events. They tried every means to stop me but gave eventually.
“Not until I released my first hit single – ‘Omo Jesu wajo’ that I felt I am indeed one step up my dream. You once asked why I am called ‘Omo Jesu.’ The success of my single made people forgo Ikechukwu for it. By God's grace, I am about to drop the full album very soon,” he said. The handsome artiste however says he doesn’t do clubbing hence his reluctance to play there.
Instead he concentrates more on party shows and indoors whenever he is not in studio. “I have no regret in life. I always believe that everything that happened in life has been ordained by God,” he stressed. Omo Jesu’s hit track can be downloaded via.......... Listen to G.O.D by omojesu.mp3 at FileFactory
